Role summary

You’ll carry out high quality servicing and repairs across a busy BMW/MINI workshop. The role blends routine maintenance (brakes, tyres, gearbox work and general servicing) with opportunities to develop diagnostic skills and take on more complex fault finding as you progress.

Day to day responsibilities

• General maintenance & servicing – engine oil & filter, air/fuel/microfilters, spark plugs, brake fluid changes and condition based items.

• Brakes, tyres and gearbox work – inspections, replacements and adjustments to manufacturer standards.

• Diagnostics & fault finding -perform global vehicle scans, Record and report fault codes and carry out tests or escalate complex issues.

• Quality control & handovers -complete job cards, record findings, clean handovers and explain work to FOH or customer.

• Workshop care -look after tools and equipment, report stock levels and keep the bays organised and clean.

• Team collaboration -plan jobs with colleagues and support a positive, safety first culture.

Candidate requirements

• Full, Clean driving licence required.

• Own basic tools

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

• Good communicator i.e able to explain faults and options to customers and colleagues.

• Desirable: manufacturer training, NVQ/IMI qualifications or BMW experience.
